Gourmet Dining Services and NJIT are working together to accomodate
sick students with a meal-plan to ensure everyone is getting what they
need from the cafeteria.
The Absentee Policy is in place and will allow students to pick up
their food using the buddy system.
Absentee Policy:
Step 1: All students must first report their illness to Health
Services by visiting the Health Services Office located on the first
floor of the Estelle and Zoom Fleisher Athletic Center. On entering
the main entrance of the Center (near Lock Street), the doors of our
office are to your left.
Step 2: Health Services will notify Gourmet Dining Service of the ill
student via email.
Step 3: Health Services will provide an advised menu with a request
from the student for Gourmet Dining Service.
Step 4: Gourmet Dining will provide the advised meal in a sealed tray
container to the student. Gourmet Dining will also provide a pick up
log sheet. This will contain the students name, menu, and pick up
time.
Step 5: The meal will be picked up by a roommate, friend, or housing
administrator who will take the sick student's ID card with them to
pick up the meal.
*Gourmet Dining will not be responsible for disposal of food or trays.*
