Tips for Eating Better When Eating Out:
Eat slowly. It takes about 20 minutes for the brain to get the message from the stomach that you are no longer hungry. Fast eaters often are overeaters! Slow eaters tend to eat less and still are satisfied.
Once a semester, the campus Dietician, Christine Schmitt, will set up an information booth. She will meet individually with students and share nutritional information with them. She will also reiterate that for any person, whether for diet, religious or medical reasons, that a special daily menu can be prepared for them as we are currently doing for other students.
Healthy dining is our main priority. Our Dieticians work with executive chefs to create dynamic, well balanced cycle menus.
